ProfitX event moves into its second year
Powersports Business’ Conference Expo — ProfitX — a two-day dealer educational event aimed at improving dealer profitability, is heading into its second year with plans for growth.
“We’re having several discussions with major industry players about how to make the event more accessible to even more dealers in 2010,” Powersports Business Editor Neil Pascale said.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted more than 350 participants. Included in that number were more than 250 dealers from more than 40 states.
Dealers were able to attend more than 15 seminars and panel discussions on a range of dealership profit centers, from new unit sales to PG&A profitability to e-commerce. Between these seminars, dealers visited with more than 25 leading industry suppliers — sponsors and exhibitors of the event — in a trade-show setting.
“Our belief that the event could be educational in both a seminar format and one-on-one discussions with these suppliers really proved to be the case,” Pascale said.
