A report from the Ducati dealer meeting

Nel PascaleLAS VEGAS — Executives from Ducati’s parent company met with the company’s North American dealer network over the past few days in Las Vegas, outlining future initiatives and some immediate changes.

The latter includes additional staffing to further improve dealer services at Ducati’s North American subsidiary, Cristiano Silei, Ducati Motor Holding’s vice president of sales, told Powersports Business this morning. Silei is currently acting Ducati North American CEO as the company finds a replacement for former CEO Michael Lock.

Silei said Ducati will be adding more than 10 percent additional staff to Ducati’s North American offices in California. One of those additional staff members will work in the company’s apparel department, which is seeing increased business as more Ducati dealers adopt the program.

Ducati also gave its dealers a hint of what the Italian company will unveil in upcoming international motorcycle shows and started a new exchange accessories program. The latter allows dealers to return a certain percentage of unsold accessories to keep stock more in line with new models.
