New Ducati Motor Holding CEO formerly led boating group
Ducati Motor Holding announced Gabriele Del Torchio, a former chief executive at boat building and transmission manufacturers, as its new CEO.
Del Torchio was named CEO of the Ferretti Group, a boat manufacturing group, in July of 2005. The group has more than 2,800 employees and 22 production facilities, including 19 in Italy.
Before that, Del Torchio was CEO of Carraro, a worldwide supplier of transmission systems.
In a released statement, he said, “I am delighted and honored to take on this new important professional challenge today. Ducati is a national champion appreciated all over the world and joining a team that has achieved such great success is a stimulus to do well.”
