Polaris Industries wins intellectual property suit

Polaris Industries received a favorable result regarding the enforcement of its intellectual property rights, the company said in a press release May 21.

Polaris previously filed suit against Jerrico and CSK for importing and selling ATVs that infringe Polaris’ U.S. Patent No. 6,270,106 and trade dress rights. Polaris obtained a favorable settlement from the parties. Jerrico is no longer in business and no longer imports or sells ATVs.

“We view this as an important victory for us in enforcing our intellectual property rights,” said Mary McConnell, Polaris general counsel. “Polaris will continue to take further action against infringers where appropriate.”
