Oct. 13, 2008 – Kawasaki’s 2009 product lineup highlights

In addition to the Voyager, Kawasaki introduced several other additions to its RUV and motorcycle lineup at the national dealer meeting in Dallas. TERYX 750 FI 4×4 SPORT

The Teryx 750 FI 4×4 Sport features a digital fuel-injected (DFI) V-twin engine into the wide-body chassis of its Teryx, along with fully adjustable, high-performance suspension components and cast aluminum wheels. Kawasaki also incorported the Teryx family’s efficient variable transmission into the 750 Sport, along with increased ground clearance, useful cargo capacity and a fuel-injected, mid-mounted 749cc 90-degree V-twin engine.
Other features include ignition timing, a new fuel tank with a fuel pump and a high-grade belt that is highly durable and designed to handle the high output of the engine. MSRP is $11,899.

KLX250SF

Based on Kawasaki’s KLX250S dual sport, the new SF model is specifically tuned to deliver maximum on-road fun. The bike is equipped with 17-inch wheels, radial sportbike tires, a large front brake rotor and lowered suspension.
Other features include reduced wheel travel at both ends, a fully adjustable suspension, lightweight aluminum swingarm with a rigid D-shaped cross section and KX racing-type chain adjusters for precise chain adjustment.
The KLX250SF also employs convenient electric-starting for its compact, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. MSRP is $5,299.

VERSYS

Building upon the Ninja 650R, Kawasaki added an adjustable-height windscreen, a longer “gull” shaped swingarm, adjustable, long-travel rear shock, long-travel inverted 41mm forks and provided it with a roomy cockpit to create the Versys. The resulting motorcycle is ready to excel at almost any task its rider needs, from gridlock traffic jams, to canyon carving, to long-distance touring.
The bike has an updated and compact liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 649cc parallel-twin engine.
Other features include an advanced Showa rear shock; a fully adjustable, 41mm tapered-tube inverted fork, which provides for a more comfortable ride and easy control of the chassis’ running angle; a cockpit that features a stepped seat; and an easy-to-read and informative instrument panel allows; and an adjustable windscreen.
