PSB poll reveals businesses’ holiday spending plans differ

PSB’s latest poll results show 45.8 percent of companies will rely on sales/discounts to attract additional holiday business. Events and additional advertising tied at 12.5 percent.

A separate study, the 2008 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Actions survey, conducted by the National Retail Foundation (NRF) says for the first time since the beginning of the survey, consumers are saying they will spend less on family members. The survey also revealed the percentage of people shopping online to remain flat this year at about 44 percent.
