Fund-raiser with raffles, rides planned in California

The 2009 edition of Broc Glover’s Breathe Easy Ride Against Cystic Fibrosis will be held Sunday, March 29, in Temecula, Calif.

The event is a fund-raiser for cystic fibrosis. A press release announcing the event said there is no government funding for the progressively fatal disease. All of the proceeds from the event go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Temecula’s Old Town California Row. AMA Hall of Fame announcer Larry Huffman will kick things off at with pre-ride festivities, including rider check-in and registration, raffles, autograph and photo ops.

At noon all registered riders will hit the road alongside a group of legendary riders who collectively have captured 70 national titles, 17 world championships and four ISDE Gold Medals. Riders may choose one of three different rides: two 100-mile street routes for cruisers and sport bikes or a dual-sport ride guided by AMA Hall of Fame off-road champion Scot Harden.
