Helmet manufacturer announces change in distribution

Motorcycle helmet manufacturer KBC America Inc. said it and its longtime distribution partner Tucker Rocky will part ways.

Following what it called a “mutual decision,” KBC will seek to explore new opportunities to reinvigorate its distribution channels in the U.S. market.

“KBC is very focused and confident and looks forward to facing the challenges that come with expanding our presence in the U.S. market,” President Kennon Yi said in a press release.

“KBC will continue to move forward with innovative new developments. With a full understanding of industry dynamics, we are confident the new strategies and decisions we have made will help to bolster and strengthen the KBC brand in the long run.”

KBC said a new distributor will be in place by summer 2010. During the transition, KBC said it will continue to support its dealer/retail and consumer network, maintaining a commitment to service and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
