Apparel provider enlarges U.S. distribution

Western Power Sports (WPS) has added Spidi Sport, a provider of motorcycle technical gear, to its offerings, the company announced. 

The agreement between the two companies represents the first time in Spidi’s history that the Italian apparel line has had this large of a distribution network in the United States.

“Spidi is a totally different category from what we’ve had,” WPS President Craig Shoemaker said of Spidi, which has been making motorcycle apparel since 1977. “It’s very high quality and appeals to a particular segment. We’re not going to set up 1,000 dealers, but the dealers who have a business model that fits with this line will be very happy with it.”

“This is a milestone agreement for us,” Nicola Dalla Grana, president of Spidi Sport, said in a press release. “For the first time we have the concrete possibility to achieve the same results we are obtaining in Europe, with the target to get the same leadership in the next three years.”
