Distributor, boot manufacturer to end relationship

Helmet House Inc. and the parent company of TCX Boots are parting ways as the boot manufacturer will move to an independent sales force.

Marco Poloni, global sales and marketing director for the Novation S.p.A. family of brands, said ìwe feel it necessary, given the current market conditions in the United States, to reconfigure our U.S. distribution options to an independent sales force more focused on gaining placement in key dealerships.

Mark Gandy, director of products for Helmet House, said ìthis was a very difficult decision to make.

ìGiven the quality of the TCX product, we were quite excited to take this line on. However with the industry’s challenging market conditions, the competitive climate within the boot category and TCX’s available sales and marketing resources for the United States, we felt it best to recommend that TCX find another distribution option and they concurred.î

Plans for a transition of marketing, sales, service and distribution functions are currently under way and should be completed by the end of the third quarter, when Novation S.p.A. will begin distributing TCX Boots through its North American subsidiary, Novation North America, Inc. Helmet House will continue to handle warranty and service through Dec. 31 for any TCX goods that Helmet House has sold. Dealers with questions regarding TCX should contact Novation North America, Inc. at 603/758-6486 or via email at info@tcxbootsusa.com after Oct. 1.
