Yamaha introduces online P&A training

Yamaha Motor Co., USA has launched an online education program aimed at increasing dealers’ P&A revenue and customer satisfaction.
The web-based training certification program, Yamaha Parts Academy (YPA), is available to Yamaha dealers nationwide and is accessible now through Yamaha Motor University (YMU) online. The program is self-paced and features multi-level courses for improving selling and customer service skills as well as product knowledge.
“Yamaha Parts and Accessories represent an important revenue stream for our dealers and YPA will help them maximize their profit potential,” John Tomsche, department manager of the Yamaha Customer Support Group, said in a press release. “We want Yamaha customers to see our dealers as the expert when they need parts and accessories. By improving product knowledge and helping dealer staff better navigate Yamaha’s parts and accessories system, our dealers become more efficient and their customers more satisfied.”
