Tucker Rocky dealer show begins Saturday

More than 150 vendors will be on hand when the Tucker Rocky Dealer Show kicks off Saturday at the Frisco (Texas) Convention Center. The event continues through Monday north of Dallas.

“The first half of the show is education for our sales reps,” Steve Johnson, president and COO of Tucker Rocky Distributing, said. “We’ll get them around to talk to all of the manufacturers to talk about the new products. We’ll have over 250 dealers come in for the last three days to meet the vendors and see the new products and hopefully get new things to sell to improve their profitability. There will be some good incentives.”

The show will include celebration and education for Tucker Rocky’s sales force that numbers nearly 150 and is expanding. And it’s an exciting week for Johnson, whose passion for powersports began as a youngster and continues today.

“I rode street bikes off and on before I even knew there was a company called Tucker Rocky,” Johnson said. “My boys raced motocross since they were little tikes. I was like a soccer mom on Saturday going to races. And I’ve been in more emergency rooms than you can think of with their broken collarbones and other breaks. I took my boys through the warehouse here the first time, and they wondered why I hadn’t been in this business years ago.”
