The changing of the seasons provides the perfect opportunity to lure new customers to touring bikes and cruisers.

With gas prices being high and looking to stay there for now, interest in gas-efficient transportation is at a premium. What better way to take advantage of the unseasonable warmth than with vehicles that need fewer visits to the pump?

Consumer confidence is also higher than it has been recently, which helps those considering two-wheel vehicle purchases. The right new or used deal could lure consumers to cruisers and touring motorcycles, whether as a means for alternative transportation or as vehicles perfect for short getaways.

In order to show dealers what’s hot in the pre-owned market, Kelley Blue Book powersports editors have provided Powersports Business with exclusive data. The accompanying chart shows the top 10 cruiser and touring motorcycles that were researched on KBB.com during the month of February.

The data shows that if you were in need of pre-owned touring and cruiser inventory in February, the Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Sportster 1200 Custom models were being sought. The Street Glide had four different models — 2006-09 — in among the top 10 most viewed in February on KBB.com. The Sportster 1200 Custom took two of the top three spots and had three overall in the top 10. The 2005 and ’06 Sportsters were second and third, respectively, with the 2004 ranking No. 10.
