KYMCO USA introduced its 2013 off-road lineup within sight of the legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Powersports Business Associate Editor Liz Hochstedler was given the opportunity to attend.
KYMCO announced in early May that it has been named the official scooter and off-road vehicle supplier to the speedway. KYMCO is providing the speedway with a variety of scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides, while the speedway is offering KYMCO the opportunity to exhibit at 11 events, use of the speedway’s PA and video board announcements, social media advertising, logo inclusion throughout the venue, race tickets and the use of the track and its amenities for KYMCO events.
As part of that agreement, KYMCO was able to carve out an eight-mile trail loop in a wooded area adjacent to one of Charlotte Motor Speedway’s parking areas. The track included small stretches in which to push the throttle, mud puddles to play in and technical obstacles to prove the utility of the vehicles. Members of the media were also treated to a dinner at the speedway during a Legends car race. About a dozen members of the media and a few employees of KYMCO’s Taiwan headquarters attended the event.
