ARGO names VP of Operations

Ontario-based ARGO in November announced that the company has named David May as vice president of Operations.

May assumes responsibility for ensuring the company is able to deliver on ARGO XTV president Brad Darling’s ambitious growth plan and will spearhead strategic initiatives that result in operational savings and increased production output.

May brings with him more than 15 years of leadership experience with international businesses, driving lean manufacturing, quality and supply chain improvements, in addition to building effective teams. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and joins ARGO from Precision Castparts Corporation, where he served as business leader of the Aerostructures Division’s operations in Cambridge, Ontario. There, he oversaw manufacturing operations, leading improvements in the cost of goods sold, safety and quality.

“We are pleased to welcome David to ARGO’s senior leadership team,” Darling said. “He brings an impressive operations skill set, with a proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing tools. David’s expertise complements our organization’s strategic direction and continuous improvement goals, and I look forward to working closely with him in the years to come.”

Headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario, ARGO XTV, a division of Ontario Drive & Gear Limited, provides Xtreme Terrain Vehicles (XTV) to a network of more than 300 dealers across Canada and the U.S., a figure which the company plans to double in the next few years.
