Distributor opens U.S. operations

The Swiss motorcycle fashion company IXS, which was started in 1979 by the Hostettler Group in Switzerland, has opened its first distribution center in the U.S. in Deerfield Beach, Fla. The U.S. subsidiary is named IXS USA. The parent company has distributors in more than 50 countries.

The selection for the U.S. market includes a wide selection of apparel, ranging from one-piece leather suits to Gore-Tex technical apparel, and complementary accessories like rain gear, boots and gloves.

IXS will be selling directly to dealers, with competitive margins protected by a stringent MAP policy and superior customer service, the company said.
