Go AZ Motorcycles earns North American honors from PSB

Go AZ Motorcycles, a multi-line dealership owned by Go Daddy founder Bob Parsons in Scottsdale, Ariz., has been named the No. 1 dealership in North America for 2013 by the industry’s leading business publication, Powersports Business.

Go AZ Motorcycles general manager Gina Marra accepted the award during the Power 50 Awards Dinner, sponsored by ARI Network Services, as part of the Powersports Business Institute @ AIMExpo, the industry’s leading trade show.

The inaugural Power 50, launched by Powersports Business to honor the top-performing dealerships in North America, culminated in a celebration of dealership success during a well-attended dinner at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

“We were honored to have many dealerships make the time and travel commitment to join us for the first Power 50 Awards Dinner in Orlando,” Powersports Business editor-in-chief Dave McMahon said. “All 50 dealerships set themselves apart by implementing a variety of profit-building initiatives in 2013, but none did so more than Go AZ Motorcycles.”

Under Marra’s direction, the dealership’s New Delivery Room provides customers with a launching point as new owners of powersports vehicles. Customers now take delivery of new units in air-conditioned comfort and are welcomed to the dealership family by staff members. A short video of the customer receiving the new purchase is created and then sent to the customer and incorporated into a video that features the entire Go AZ family of customers. The delivery room décor features lifestyle displays and various accessories and equipment, and serves as the last imprinted memory with the customer before he or she exits the facility.

In addition, the dealership added a 75,000 square-foot underground storage facility for the motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and scooters it sells. The dealership also built an on-site demo track for highly effective customer demo rides. A pair of motorcycle riding simulators that sit in a state-of-the-art classroom for rider training and safety classes are the only two of their kind in the industry. Go AZ also expanded its management staff by two employees, and increased its weekly days of operation from five to seven.

“Go AZ is a shining example of how to use innovation to grow business,” McMahon said. “All members of the Power 50 spent the year finding creative ways to drive traffic to their stores and offer superior customer service while growing their bottom line.”

Go AZ Motorcycles retails motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides from BMW, Ducati, Triumph, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, Aprilia, Vespa and Ural.

  1. Congratulations !! Do not forget the small Mom & Pop shops which come up with a lot of ideas and still cater to long time customers or clients on a new description of needs which don’t recquire internet and armchair riders who should see their local expert , I.E. Shop for parts ,service and advice , since most of us are enthusiasts and have made large investments only to compete wit our own vendors . Norman , Sussex Hills Ltd. I suppose we will start charging more for labor and add a consultation fee .
