High Lifter helps raise $14,000 for children’s hospital

High Lifter Products teamed up with Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar to help raise more than $14,000 and gather loads of toys for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La.

The funds were raised at a benefit mud ride at High Lifter Off-Road Park in Shreveport on Dec. 7. The event, in its sixth consecutive year, serves as one of the biggest fundraisers for the hospital. Funds were gathered through park admission, concessions, a pancake breakfast and a raffle that included prizes such as a 2014 Polaris Ranger 570, a Warn winch, a Moonshinexxx Light Bar and a year’s worth of coupons for Applebee’s valued at $7,300.

High-Lifter-2_608x300“This truly is my favorite event we put on each year,” said Scott Smith, owner of High Lifter Products. “It’s a busy time of the year where we can stop, have fun and put others first. The hospital has changed so many lives for the better, including my son’s, and hosting an event like this is the least we could do. The event’s continued success is direct results of the support from our awesome sponsors, including Polaris, Warn, Moonshinexxx and Applebee’s. We are eager to continue to see this event grow and can’t wait to what next year brings!”

The 2014 Shriners Ride is set for Saturday, Dec. 6.
