94-year-old dealer president dies

Arthur “Bub” Tramontin, president of Tramontin Harley-Davidson in Hope, N.J., died Tuesday at the age of 94.

Tramontin was a lifelong member of the American Motorcyclist Association. He was involved in 1-mile, 1/2-mile, TT, short track, drag, ice, road, enduro, motocross, trials, sidecar and hill climb racing, retiring at 75 as the oldest professional Hill Climber, according to the dealership’s website. His Tramontin Harley-Davidson is the oldest dealership in New Jersey and will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2015.

Tramontin is survived by his son, two daughters, one sister and his companion Julia Loczko. The dealership is closed today for his visitation.
