Dealers get in on Black Friday events

Not to be passed by for the big box stores, many dealerships are hosting events and sales on Black Friday, Nov. 28.

The following are some of the events the Powersports Business team has learned about:

Black Friday Sales Event at Harley-Davidson of Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn.

Doors open at 5 a.m. Friday, and the first 10 people in the door receive a $50 HDCS gift card to use toward H-D licensed products. Tiered discounts offered on H-D licensed merchandise — Spend $1-$200 and get 10 percent off; spend $201-$300 and get 15 percent off; spend $301 and up and get 20 percent off.

Black Friday and Super Saturday at Leo’s South in Lakeville, Minn.

The more you buy, the more you save. Mix and match PG&A and receive 10 percent off a purchase of any one item; 15 percent off a purchase of any two items; and 20 percent off a purchase of three or more items. Free cookies, coffee and hot chocolate both days.

Black Friday and Blacker Saturday at Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson in Louisiana

Doors open at 7 a.m. Friday with free gift cards, valued from $10-$100, for the first 50 shoppers through the door before 9 a.m. A 9 a.m. drawing will be held Friday for tickets to a game in NOLA. Hourly specials will also run from 7-11 a.m. Friday. The dealership is also offering pastries, coffee, hot cocoa and cider both mornings, along with triple rewards points from 2 p.m. to close on Friday and Saturday.

Dirty Wednesday and Black Friday at North County’s House of Motorcycles in Vista, Calif.

Purchase MX jersey and pants and get free socks and gloves or goggles (up to $40 retail value). Free smoke visor with purchase of full face helmet $149.99 and up. Free socks with purchase of Fox, Alpinestars or SIDI boots. Enter to win a GoPro Hero 4.

Black Friday Bike Event at Sound Harley-Davidson in Marysville, Wash.

Screamin’ deals on pre-owned Vivid Black models and more. From 8-9 a.m. Stuff the Bag with in-stock licensed apparel and aftermarket parts and receive 30 percent off. Stay fueled with free pastries and black coffee all day at the Kickstand Café. The Ladies of Harley Gift Wrap Station will be open 8 a.m.-noon Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, with donations accepted.

Black Friday at Iron Mountain, Marquette and Houghton Powersports in Michigan

All customers who visit one of the three sister stores on Black Friday, or on Saturday, will be entered in a drawing for a free generator, no purchase necessary. Doors open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday with limited quantity deals on a first-come, first-served basis. Those deals include a Mossberg 715 Tactical .22 for $129 and $2 winter hats. The dealerships are also offering huge discounts on Under Armour apparel. Real time updates on remaining quantities and new specials will be posted on Facebook.

Black Friday Black Out at Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City, S.D.

Free biscuits and gravy served when the store opens at 8 a.m. 25 percent off all black in-stock licensed H-D apparel. Happy hour at 2 p.m. The event continues Saturday with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and happy hour at 2 p.m.

Black Friday Sale at Montgomery Cycle Center in Hatfield, Pa.

Timely sales — the earlier you come in; the more you save. Sales of parts and accessories are 25 percent off 7-9 a.m. Friday and 20 percent off from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. All special orders are 10 percent off. Extended savings continue with 15 percent off P&A Saturday. Friday service specials include 20 percent off labor with any service job written 7-9 a.m. and 15 percent off labor with any service job written 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Save up to $499 with Free Freight Friday on vehicles on which ownership is taken on Friday.

Black Friday at Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard, Ore.

Doors open at 9 a.m. with Danishes from Beaverton Bakery and coffee from Sisters Coffee Company provided. The first 30 customers through the door will receive a free Paradise H-D deck of cards, and the first 50 people to spend $150 or more will receive a Paradise H-D bottle opener key chain valued at $10. Buy one full-priced T-shirt and save 25 percent off a second. Buy a full-priced pair of H-D riding boots and receive a free pair of H-D socks.

Black Friday & Saturday Sale at Cycle Specialties in Modesto, Calif.

The event kicks off with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. on Friday. Staff will also help customers complete a gift registry. Deals include 25 percent off Nolan N104 helmets, 50 percent off Spidi jackets, an IronX Action Cam for $250 and other in-store-only sales.

The Anti Black Friday at J&L and Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson in South Dakota

Free beer and mimosas from 9 a.m. to noon. Anti Black Friday kicks off the dealerships’ Holiday Open House, which includes a holiday sale, 30 percent off H-D leather jackets Friday and photos with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Black Friday Custom Buying Event at High Country Harley-Davidson in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Cocoa and cookies, free gift wrapping, expert customization advice and a personal shopping experience from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Black Friday and Saturday at Maxim Honda Yamaha in Allen, Texas

Get a 10-50 percent off coupon by spinning the hopper when you walk in the door. Take 50 percent off select helmets. Browse the 50 percent off holiday sale rack of jackets, dirt gear and lifestyle apparel. Traxxas remote control cars and helicopters are 15 percent off. Strider bikes are $20 off. Freestyle scooters are 20 percent off. Monster Energy AMA Supercross tickets for the Feb. 14 race go on sale at the dealership on Friday.
