Curtis reveals new Viking cab system

Worcester, Mass.-based Curtis Industries has unveiled its new cab system for the Yamaha Viking.

The Curtis cab features rugged, all-steel panels. The doors are powder-coated 16-gauge steel for structural strength. Large windows with dual sliders provide excellent ventilation, plus the exclusive Curtis Quick-Release Latch allows the window panel to be removed in seconds without tools by simply turning four thumbscrews, perfect for open-air driving.

The doors have additional features including heavy-duty 7-gauge steel hinges to reduce door flex and sag. Doors include gas shocks to assist opening and closing and to provide additional control when opening doors in windy conditions.

The venting windshield is made of scratch-resistant polycarbonate. The rear window is made of impact-modified acrylic and is contoured for excellent visibility; the venting slider in the rear window allows flow through ventilation. The cab uses the existing factory roof that comes standard on most models; the cab includes added rubber sealing for better weather protection. Dual windshield wipers are standard, providing three-passenger visibility in any weather.

Optional 2-speed under-dash heater and work lights are available.
