Powersports Business expands editorial staff

Signaling continued growth of its brand, Powersports Business added a third full-time editor to its staff this week. Kate Swanson has joined the company as assistant editor, joining editor in chief Dave McMahon and managing editor Liz Keener on the powersports beat.

Swanson, a 2014 graduate of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, is fresh off an editorial internship at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and brings retail experience to her position.

“All of us at PSB are thrilled to have Kate on board,” McMahon said. “We’re looking forward to her contributions, and she’s excited about getting to know the various facets of our industry. Liz and I have already warned her to be on the lookout for plenty of welcomes from industry members.”

Now in its 18th year, Powersports Business is coming off a banner year in 2014 thanks to industry support, allowing for the staff expansion.

“In addition to the 15 magazines published annually, we’re looking forward to enhancing our communication outlets this year with additional webinars, Enewsletters and other digital products. Of course, the Power 50 Dealer Awards and the Powersports Business Institute @ AIMExpo get bigger and better every year, and Kate will be an ideal fit as we enhance those events as well,” McMahon said.
