Dealership’s Modern Classics Show expands into second day

News Release

Motorcycle enthusiasts throughout Pennsylvania and the Northeast can celebrate the impending arrival of riding season at the Fifth Annual Modern Classics Motorcycle Show slated for Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th at Martin Moto in Boyertown, Pa.

As always The Modern Classics celebrates the classic motorcycles of the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. The show features an “all-brands” display of 100 epic bikes from the era as well as period memorabilia and motorcycle themed displays. Each year show planners select one group of bikes for special recognition at this “by invitation only” show. For 2015, the featured group will be custom built bikes that have historical links to that same ‘60s-‘80s era. Guests will have the chance to see examples of various genres such as choppers, bobbers, café racers, and street trackers in addition to an all-new selection of standard classics on display in the 10,000 square foot Martin Moto showroom.

New for 2015 is the expansion of The Modern Classics show to include a Friday evening show preview and social event, The Modern Classics Kickstart Party powered by Yamaha. The unique Modern Classics Kickstart Party offers the opportunity for guests to experience the 100 motorcycles of The Modern Classics with a distinctly different vibe. They’ll snack on light fare prepared by Skippack’s Italian Market and sample micro Brews from Reading’s Chatty Monks Brewing Company. While enjoying classic rock from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s they’ll stroll the show floor and watch as master artist Makoto Endo paints a large format image of a selected show machine. Door prizes and other surprises will add to the excitement. A limited number of tickets to this special event are available online at modernclassicsbikeshow.com for just $15, which includes admission to both the Friday evening party as well as the regular show on Saturday.

Martin Moto Story

On Saturday, March 7th the doors open at 9:00 am for the day long Modern Classics Show that fans have come to anticipate for each of the past four years — the expansive Martin Moto showroom literally becomes a museum for a day. Prior to show closing at 5:00 pm awards will be presented to winners of the People’s Choice balloting in each of the two show categories, “Classics” and “Customs” as well as a prestigious “Exhibitors’ Choice” Trophy to be awarded to the finest example of a “Modern Classic” as selected by the owners of the 100 motorcycles on display. Admission to the Saturday show only is still just $8 payable at the door.

Martin Moto dealer principal Dennis Martin says, “I can’t believe that we are now in our fifth year and yet our planning committee has been able to fill the showroom with yet another all-new selection of both standard classics and customs. We have a mix of bikes that should delight any enthusiast, from Mini Bikes and Honda Super 90s to Classic Nortons, Triumphs, and Ducatis, to a collection of great customs based on Harley- Davidsons, Hondas and more. The Modern Classics really is a time-machine journey back into the days when a great many of us began our motorcycling adventures.”

The Modern Classics runs for two days only. Tickets to the Friday evening, 7-10 pm, March 6 Kickstart Party and Show Preview are available for online purchase only at $15 (includes admission for both show days). On Saturday, March 7, the doors will be re-opened from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and admission is just $8.00, payable at the door. Children 12 years of age and under are admitted free for both events.
