Sandia Speedway For Sale on eBay

Albuquerque’s only racing facility, Sandia Motor Speedway, is for sale via an online auction at eBay, www.ebay.com.
Held April 22 through May 2, the auction is hosted by Anne Apicella of Grubb & Ellis/New Mexico, the exclusive listing agents for the property.
Located roughly 3.5 miles southwest of the I-40/Central Avenue interchange, Sandia Motor Speedway is a motor racing and test facility that was created by a group of local racing enthusiasts and opened in May 2000. The facility is situated on more than 85 acres and boasts an oval track and road racing venues to include half- and quarter-mile paved ovals, a 1.7-mile paved course, a paved quarter midget course, and a 21-acre motocross track. The facility is sanctioned by a number of professional associations, including the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA).
In addition to a full racing schedule from May to October, the Speedway is also used year-round as a training facility for driver training programs and other activities.
This property was previously offered on eBay in September 2004. Numerous bidders competed up to a high bid of $3.999 million, but the high bidder was not qualified. In the new eBay auction, bidders will be required to register and prequalify.
