Suzuki Tops Spain’s Growing ATV Market

Spain’s ATV market has grown dramatically in the past three years. In fact, recently provided numbers suggest five times as many quads were sold there in 2005 than in 2002.
According to figures recently published by Quad & Jet, a Spanish ATV magazine, a total of 43,997 quads were sold in Spain from January to December 2005, up from 32,4989 units in 2004, 15,959 units in 2003, and 8,071 units in 2002.
The 10 most-sold ATV Brands in Spain in 2005 were Suzuki, responsible for sales of 12,019 units; Yamaha, 7,813 units; KYMCO, 7,316 units; Honda, 3,197 units; Polaris, 2,869 units; CSR, 1,598 units; Kawasaki, 1,345 units; BRP, 1,075 units; Linhai, 776 units; and Factory Bike, 610 units.
The 10 most-sold ATV models in Spain last year were the Suzuki LT-Z 400, responsible for 10,732 units; KYMCO MXU 250, 3,078 units; Yamaha YFM 660R, 2,353 units; KYMCO KXR 250, 1,938 units; Yamaha YFM 350R, 1,333 units; Honda TRX 400, 1,208 units; Polaris Predator 500, 1,157 units; Yamaha YFM Grizzly 660, 1,063 units; and the KYMCO MXer 50, responsible for 837 units.
