KYMCO USA joins AIMExpo lineup in Orlando

News release

The exhibitor list for the inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) continues to expand with the announcement that KYMCO USA Inc., a worldwide leader in scooters, ATVs, and side-by-sides, will be participating in the Orlando event slated for October 16-20. Initially founded as the Kwang Yang Motor Co. Ltd. in 1963, the Taiwanese company has been based in South Carolina for over 13 years and will take advantage of the innovative format of AIMExpo to showcase its industry-leading scooters and off-road vehicles.

“KYMCO USA is a name synonymous with scooters as well as transportation in general, and KYMCO’s presence at AIMExpo will be a tremendous benefit for scooter enthusiasts,” said Cinnamon Kernes, show director. “Industry recognition of AIMExpo’s inherent value proposition continues to grow, and the addition of KYMCO USA as the fourth OEM is evidence of that.”

KYMCO USA will take advantage of AIMExpo’s ground-breaking platform that allows manufacturers to present products to motorcycle dealers, media, and consumers. KYMCO USA will utilize indoor booth space inside the Orange County Convention Center to showcase select 2014 models of its globally-recognized lineup of scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take select on- and off-road models for a test ride at AIMExpo Outdoors, the event’s dedicated outdoor demo space.

“KYMCO USA Inc. is very excited to participate in AIMExpo this year,” said Bruce Ramsey, Vice President of Sales and Operations, KYMCO USA. “I believe the industry requires some stimulation after the last few difficult years and AIMExpo is exactly that stimulus. This will be the best opportunity that we have had in many years to combine manufacturers, retailers, consumers and industry press in one event!”

The inaugural AIMExpo will revolutionize the powersports industry as North America’s first combined consumer, trade and media event. It will be held on October 16-20, 2013 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
