News Release

Honda today unveiled the world premiere of the BULLDOG as an exhibition model (concept model) at a press conference at the 31st Osaka Motorcycle Show 2015.

The BULLDOG promotes a new world of leisure with motorcycles. The model was developed with the concept “Lovable Touring Partner,” and was designed to go beyond the boundaries of conventional leisure motorcycles, to actively enjoy outdoor life.

The BULLDOG’s 15-inch wide-tires and low center-of-gravity provide a low, 730mm seat height, ensuring a solid footing. Its unique robust, yet charming styling undoubtedly brings smiles to the faces of not only riders, but also people who don’t usually ride motorcycles.

The liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC inline 2-cylinder 400cc engine has powerful, yet easy to handle output characteristics, realizing a nimble ride in a wide range of environments from urban to rural areas.

The BULLDOG is equipped with a carrier suitable for camping-touring, and features accessory storage on the sides of the fuel tank, which also act as a styling accent.

  1. This is an interesting vehicle. Looks like a large Grom. It appears to be setup as a street bike more so than a dirt bike. I could see bopping along a fire road on it. I’m not sure how freeway capable it would be so I’m not sure how it would sell as an economy transportation vehicle in the US. Probably would do well in 3rd world countries with irregular paved/dirt roads.

  2. Honda has been doing a good job in the American market on entry level
and small sport entry level. This will be nice once the economy picks
up in a year and a half.

Please tell the car guys we need some excitement in the car lines. Whats
there is good but the cake needs some frosting on it besides motorcycles.
How about something to compete with the Mazda sports car which will be
out late this year. it should be small, clean in style, and mid-engined.
It should have basic comforts but it should also be low tech and free of
4 wheel steering and all the other unnecessary accouterments. The price
should be under 50,000.00 so we can stack em high and watch em fly.

  3. Honda is onto something here. Its like a baby bmw gs for people who want something rougher than a scooter but not a full fledged touring-adventure motorcycle. Love the storage space and easy-going “dont care for the bad boy HD biker look” pastel color scheme. Its a way more utilitarian, lower maintenance, not as misbehaving, competitor to the Ducati Scrambler… ¡ gotta start saving !
