Galt Enterprises/ServiceGuard Systems has acquired Powersport University, a dealership training provider.
Galt Enterprises purchased the training provider from founder Peter Jones, who will continue to oversee the company.
“Peter will get us even further involved training-wise in the powersports industry, doing some of the things that we’ve always done but expand it to Web-based programs,” Lee Hoffman, president of Galt Enterprises, told Powersports Business.
Jones says his company is excited to join the Galt team.“This merger will provide us the resources needed to meet our growth objectives for the next several years and allow us to venture into new markets that otherwise would have been outside of our reach,” Jones said.
Hoffman says Galt has been doing dealership personnel training for more than 25 years across multiple industries. Powersport University and its online components addition will provide more options for dealers.
“You can think about the expense factor and the time commitment,” Hoffman said of the costs associated with training away from the store. “This gives them an option where it does cut down on their expenses, and they can do it on their own time.”
Current Powersport University members will still be able to work with the same team members they have before, the company said. psb
