St. Patrick’s Day promo to put dealership on center stage

Simply Street Bikes, Brian Cox’s dealership that sells pre-owned only in addition to offering service and PG&A in Eden Prairie, Minn., will be a focal point at “LuckyPalooza,” the new St. Patrick’s Day themed street festival in downtown St. Paul, Minn. The event will take place on West 7th Street, between Walnut Street and Kellogg Blvd., on Saturday, March 14 from 2-11pm.

LuckyPalooza invites attendees to enjoy bars and restaurants on West 7th, including Patrick McGovern’s, Cossetta’s, Eagle Street Grill, The Liffey, Tom Reid’s, Burger Moe’s, The Downtowner and Zamboni’s Pizza. It will include four tent parties, three outdoor music stages with live and DJ music, and outdoor food and beverage options. An all ages, family-friendly Stunt Show with Simply Street Bikes and Red Bull athlete Aaron Colton will take place from 2-7 p.m. in the middle of the street. A similar street party, organized in conjunction with Red Bull Crashed Ice, drew over 25,000 revelers to West 7th Street in January.

Colton will headline the Stunt Show, with the Squid Wheelies also performing. BMX riders also will join in the fun, and prizes will be awarded.

“Saint Paul celebrates St. Patrick’s Day like few other places in the United States,” said Terry Mattson, President and CEO of Visit Saint Paul. “LuckyPalooza is one more reason to visit Saint Paul as we celebrate the Irish all weekend long.”

“LuckyPalooza is about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and creating a destination in Saint Paul,” said Pat Boehmer, owner of Patrick McGovern’s who has celebrated St. Patrick’s Day for 33 years at his establishment. “This is a great opportunity to work together to showcase Saint Paul and the great restaurants that make West 7th Street special.”

Additional locations throughout Saint Paul celebrating on the 14th include Bennett’s Chop & Railhouse, O’Gara’s, Mancini’s, Wild Tymes, Public Kitchen + Bar and The Dubliner. The 49th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will continue on March 17 at noon along 5th Street.

Colton is a Red Bull KTM action sport athlete with over eight years of professional riding experience. He’s gained a broad respect throughout all disciplines of motorcycling, competing in Street Freestyle, AMA Pro Road Racing, AMA Pro Flat Track, as well as a handful of WORCS, supermoto and motocross races. His demo program spans across the United States with 25-plus activations and an additional two to three activation tours outside the continental U.S. each year.

Aaron learned how to ride at the age of two with his first bike, a Yamaha PW50. However, his interest in motorcycling didn’t spark until the age of 12, riding alongside his father on trails and motocross parks nearby his hometown of Shakopee, Minnesota. It was at this time that Aaron started to develop an interest in the Street Freestyle scene with his Father learning and teaching him the general basics of “stunt riding.”

By the time Aaron reached the age of 13, his riding ability brought him into the competition scene of street freestyle, becoming the youngest XDL National Stunt Riding Champion at the age of 15. Since then, Aaron has gone on to win multiple championships.

As a versatile athlete, Aaron has continued to evolve his career with respected companies and organizations as one of the most recognized Street Freestyle riders in the world.
