The ProfitXcelerator was launched in 2009 by Powersports Business magazine as the Powersports Business Conference & Expo. PSB works hard to share ideas and solutions with powersports dealers through the magazine and through such programs as the Bold Ideas and Training Day initiatives. ProfitX has become a natural extension of the Powersports Business strategy to help dealers and the industry at large find success in the current market conditions.
In 2009, ProfitX attracted nearly 350 industry professionals, including nearly 250 of which were powersports dealers. The educational portion of the event featured 16 sessions instructed by nine industry experts and training consultants and four panels of dealers and other experts. Topics covered every profit center of today’s powersports dealer — sales, service, PG&A, F&I, e-commerce and pre-owned — in addition to other general management topics such as marketing, how to thrive in a down economy and solving the (personnel) performance puzzle. Following outstanding response to the 2009 event, ProfitX moves from Indianapolis to Las Vegas for 2010 with the promise of even more educational sessions, a new line-up of speakers, and the same mission: to provide dealers solutions in every profit center. The move to Vegas comes for a number of reasons, but most importantly because it is one of the most convenient and least-costly travel destinations in the United States. Our dealer survey told us that, behind the educational content, the location of the event was the second-most important consideration to attract them to the event.
Speaking of that survey, dealers have outlined the topics that are most important to them and the success of their dealerships, and we are currently building an educational agenda to deliver exactly what they need. By now, you’ve most likely seen the ads in Powersports Business, asking the question: How many profit-building ideas would it take to get you to join us in Las Vegas? The value found in the number of solutions to be delivered at the 2010 ProfitX will far exceed your expectations.
