Polaris closing Kolpin’s Wisconsin headquarters

Polaris Industries is closing Kolpin Outdoors’ Fox Lake, Wis., manufacturing plant as it works to move production of Kolpin products to Polaris’ facilities in Minnesota and Ohio.

Kolpin president and CEO Tom Lutes told the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen in Wisconsin that the Fox Lake plant will be closed next March. Polaris announced its acquisition of Kolpin on April 1.

Lutes told the newspaper that Kolpin’s 30 Wisconsin employees have been offered jobs with Polaris in Minnesota and Ohio, and those who don’t want to move have been offered severance packages. The employees have until March to decide if they’d like to relocate.
